Abstract

SUAREZ-ALVAREZ, María Fernanda; PUPO-PUPO, Yudith  and  VERDECIA-CARBALLO, Enrique. Didactics of Language and Literature: Didactic Strategy to Motivate their Learning. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.2  Epub Aug 01, 2023. ISSN 2308-0132.

The motivation for learning the mother tongue and reading has always been a topic of discussion in the academic and research field, not only from the field of education. In a world increasingly permeated by technology, statistics on the consumption of reading in its traditional formats offer increasingly reduced figures, inviting education professionals to deploy new methodologies to encourage love for letters. For this reason, the objective of this work is to present a didactic strategy directed towards this direction in the seventh grade of the General Basic School Pichincha, Ecuador. The implementation of this strategy favored the teaching of content over the learning of grammar content and gave rise to reflection on the discursive uses of the language in different contexts, thus allowing meaningful learning in students.

Keywords : didactic strategy; reading; motivation.
