Abstract

VALDES PEREZ, Hansel L.  and  ARMAS VELASCO, Camilo Boris. Self-regulation of learning in environments supported by TICs. RP [online]. 2022, vol.10, n.3, pp. 2-16.  Epub Nov 11, 2022. ISSN 2308-3042.

In the current context, the imperative transformation of the teaching and learning modes of action in information and communication technologies (ICT) environments undoubtedly constitutes a requirement of higher education in the 21st century. Students are progressively more linked to the use of technologies. The integration of ICTs into the teaching-learning process (TLP) implies a change in the role of the teacher and the students, where the former must promote the formation of learning strategies and the development of the students’ self-regulation in their learning process. In the present research, the influence of ICT in the students` learning self-regulation is analyzed due to the fact that technologies are important tools currently used by teachers in the TLP. The objective of this article is to socialize content about the use of ICT in education, as a tool for developing students’ learning self-regulation. The results show that it is possible to promote self-regulation of learning in medium environments through ICT and in turn provide the students with the necessary strategies to learn autonomously.
