In this article we propose to analyze the hypermedial journalistic discourse of two Hispanic media in the United States: El Diario NY and Diario las Américas, on the subject of Cuba in the period between October 2016 and October 2017. We decided to focus on the version digital media in Spanish, for the prominence that these have gained in the current scenario of the United States. Certainly those selected are not the classic English media that are part of the mainstream, but they are newspapers that write in Spanish for an audience that reads in that language. A public, mostly immigrant, who has a different conception of Cuba, as well as the media. We focus on the features that characterized the hypermedial discourse in both media, using the discourse analysis as a fundamental technique, to the articles published in the indicated period. This will allow to find points of continuity or break in the themes and, likewise, to appreciate how hypermedial resources add to that discursive construction.
