A retrospective study of 250 nursing infants who underwent cardiovascular surgery and in whom nasotracheal intubation was used for the transoperative mechanical ventilation was carried out. The incidence of complications was low, and the most frequent one was nasal bleeding, which was present in 6 % of the patients. There were no fatal complications
