Abstract

LEAL MURSULI, Armando et al. Enfoque multidisciplinario del cáncer del pulmón: Resultados de la cirugía. Rev Cubana cir [online]. 1999, vol.38, n.2, pp. 74-78. ISSN 1561-2945.

221 patients with lung cancer diagnosis that were evaluated by a multidisciplinary team of thoracic surgery at the "Miguel Enriquez" Clinical and Surgical Teaching Hospital, from 1987 to 1997, were studied. 104 patients who underwent surgery were selected for this paper. The surgical results were acceptable and it was concluded that most of the cases were males, and that the most frequent operation was lobectomy at stages I and II. Operative mortality was 11.3 % and the survival after 5 years was 28 %
