Abstract

Transfusional therapy is a very controversial topic nowadays that raises the interest of many physicians due to the complications and ethical conflicts with which it is associated. This review was made aimed at stating the ethical dilemma faced by the physicians on giving attention to the Jehovah's Witness patients, and the possible solutions in the ethical and professional aspects. It is important to put into practice the alternatives of transfusional therapy in the Jehovah's Witness patients, respecting their religious freedom and the deontological norms of our profession
