Abstract

MARIN MANSO, Gloria M.; FERNANDEZ YSLA, Rebeca  and  MASSON BARCELO, Rosa M.. Bite register: Some considerations . Rev Cubana Estomatol [online]. 2005, vol.42, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-297X.

The constructive or working bite is the register of occlusal relation on a wax roll that is directly performed in the patient’s mouth aimed at improving the intermaxillary relations in the three space planes. Although there are some authors that do not use it to construct their functional apparatuses, we consider it is indispensable to make them. There exist controversies as regards the bite magnitude in sagittal and vertical sense. The diagnostic considerations to be taken into account previous to the bite register, as well as its main variants, according to the most used functional techniques, are dealt with in this paper.

Keywords : Constructive bite; bite register; working bite; functional orthopedics of the maxillas; functional apparatuses..
