The Institute of Pharmacy and Food of Havana University was founded in 1991 to continue the work done by the former Faculty of Pharmacy and Food. This Institute assures the permanent formation of the necessary human resources for the pharmaceutical and food industries and for the scientific complex centers. The educational system comprises undergraduate and postgraduate courses, diploma´s cosurses, master´s courses, PH D studies, and other university extracurricular activities. It organizes national and international events, keeps high level of performance in scientific research as well as close cooperation links with domestic and foreign institutions. After 15 years of foundation, its faculty is ever increasingly prepared and its teaching-research activity is remarkable.
