Abstract

A patient with Creutzfeldt-Jakob syndrome with history of previous ischemic cerebrovascular disease and a typical picture of dementia, ataxia myoclonias and typical changes in the electroencephalogram with imaging suggestive of multiple cerebral infarctions was presented. Its diagnosis was mainly based on the clinic and on the anatomopathological changes that were characteristic of that entity. The patient died due to intercurrent complications in the course of a deep demential state with postration and complete dependence.
