Abstract

Colon cancer rarely appears as a fever of unknown origin without another orienting symptomatology. This article reports a patient with daily fever between 38 ºC and 39 ºC for 4 and a half months. The patient was diagnosed a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of ascending colon. Laparoscopic hemicolectomy was performed and resolution of the febrile picture was observed in 48 hours.
