Abstract

A retrospective study is carried out in 92 infants operated of interventricular communication, in the Cardiocenter of the "William Soler" Educational Pediatric Hospital, during 1989-1993. Dobutamine was the most used inotropic (67 patients), and glyceryl trinitrate was the preferred vasodilator (76 patients, 82,60 %). Cardiac arrhytmias were the most frequent complications (55,59,78 %) and the low cardiac output syndrome had an incidence of 13 %. There were no deceased children during the transoperative.
