The retroperitoneal fibrosarcoma ia a rare variety of tumor in childhood. It is more frequently located in the extremeties. The case of a patient diagnosed at "William Soler" Pediatric Teaching Hospital, in 1996, as well as the value of the combined modality therapy in the control of the disease, are presented. The aim of this paper was to make known the existance of this rare variety of intraabdominal tumor.
