Abstract

MONTALVAN GONZALEZ, Guillermo. Surviving sepsis. Rev Cubana Pediatr [online]. 2007, vol.79, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3119.

Severe sepsis is still one of the most complex problems of health worldwide, despite the knowledge acquired in the understanding of  its epidemiology, pathophysiology, and new therapeutical modalities. Due to this panorama, the campaign called “Surviving  sepsis”, promoted by three of the most prestigious scientific societies, appeared  in  2002. It has very clear goals and its definitive aim is to achieve a decrease of mortality from sepsis.  The present paper is aimed at offering a vision of this proposal as a system giving us the tools to be applied creatively  to attain the final goal.

Keywords : Sepsis survival.
