Abstract

A 45-year-old patient officer of the Armed Forces that is seen at the Outpatient Department of Dermatology for having a dermatological picture of 10 years of evolution with no subjective symptom at the onset of the disease is presented. Based on his clinical picture, the possibility of a genetic disease is stated. The pedigree was made and a foot biopsy was performed. It was corroborated the diagnosis of acrokeratosis verruciformis, which was treated by cryosurgery. Emphasis is made on the importance of going deep into the diagnosis in the control and medical examinations made to officers affected by dermatosis.
