GONZALEZ VELAZQUEZ, Antonio et al. Empiema epidural. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2003, vol.32, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.

Epidural intracranial empyema is one of the less described located supurative processes. Its appeareance is related to the extension of a contiguous focus of infection, such as sinusitis, mastoiditis, cellulitis of the scalp or orbitary, rhinocerebral mucormycosis, or to a cranial defect by fracture, neurosurgical procedure, or a complication of the fetal monitoring. The case of a 16-year-old white male patient with epidural empyema secondary to buccodental infection, a cause that is not registered in the reviewed literature, is presented in this paper.
