LLERENA RODRIGUEZ, Jorge A.; PEREZ BLAZQUEZ, Gildo J. and DOMINGUEZ EXPOSITO, Martha G.. Resultados quirúrgicos en la cirugía de retina convencional. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2003, vol.32, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.
The results of a study conducted among 37 patients that underwent surgery due to retinal detachment by conventional surgical procedures from January, 1998, to June, 2002., are presented. The follow-up includes periods from 4 years up to 2 months, in the last case. The fundamental parameters as preoperative and postoperative visual acuity, type of surgical technique used, age, sex, and others, are shown. It is considered that this type of surgery may be used with a limited number of resources provided that there is no vitreous affection contraindicating it.
