Abstract

GUERRERO ABREU, Jacqueline  and  PEREZ ALEJO, José Luis. Non-ionizing radiations and their effect on human health. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2006, vol.35, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.

Electromagnetic radiation bombings are continuos and imperceptible, some are natural and others caused by men. Their effect on human health is one of the controversial aspects in the field of science due to the fact that electromagnetic radiations depending on their frequency may be classified as the ones having biological effects or not and the ones having an impact on man. Some biological effects may be harmless such as sun radiation, but others can unleash diseases like cancer, sterility and other less known illnesses. The present paper made a literature review about this topic to perspectively place it in relation to health care.

Keywords : Bioelectromagnetism; non-ionizing radiations; radiolocation equipment.
