Abstract

Abdominal pregnancy is an uncommon way of ectopic pregnancy associated with a high morbidity and mortality. It is developed in the abdominal cavity with placenta implantation in any of its structures and fetal growth where the liver one of less frequent. This is a case of abdominal pregnancy with liver implantation. Diagnosis was made at the first trimester of pregnancy using emergence laparotomy by hypovolemic shock. Hepatorrhaphy was carried out over epiploon graft without hemostasia with hepatic packing and later a re-intervention at 72 hours. There were not complication and evolution was satisfactory. Diagnosis requires a high degree of suspicion and it is considered a real medical emergency with severe complications.
