The tourist activity represents for Cuba one of the main sources of attracting financial resources. Given the world sanitary situation as a result of the new coronavirus, this sector has been very affected. In order to make decisions in that sense, it is proposed in this article the analysis of main components as a technique for the analysis of conjunctural economic phenomena. The application of this technique constitutes an opportune tool to reduce the asymmetry of information and the risk associated to irregular phenomena, it allows knowing relevant information in the short term and it acts as a significant instrument in support to the economic decision making.
