Abstract

HERNANDEZ PEREZ, Dienelys et al. Control of Rhizoctonia solani in common beans with rhizobacteria and natural products. Ctro. Agr. [online]. 2018, vol.45, n.2, pp. 55-60. ISSN 0253-5785.

ABSTRACT In order to evaluate the effect of rhizobacteria and natural products on the control of the disease caused by Rhizoctonia solani in common beans, in vitro and semi-controlled experiments were developed. The bacteria Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas aeruginosa totally inhibited the in vitro growth of R. solani, in the evaluation of the dual or double layer culture method. Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus cepacia showed a lower inhibitory effect, although higher than 65%; while none of the treatments evaluated by the wells method totally inhibited the growth of the pathogenic organism. The evaluations in semicontrolled conditions showed that all the treatments differed statistically with respect to the control regarding the proportion of diseased plants, although the best results were obtained with the use of the rhizobacteria, without statistical differences respect to the chemical control
