Abstract

CASTRO LOPEZ, William; CARRERA SANCHEZ, Karina  and  HERRERA ISLA, Lidcay. Incidence of wilt disease in Solanum quitoense at the amazonic region of Pastaza, Ecuador. Ctro. Agr. [online]. 2019, vol.46, n.1, pp. 13-17. ISSN 0253-5785.

Wilt is the most destructive disease of naranjilla (Solanum quitoense Lam.), because cause important losses, including the dead of almost 80 % of the plantation. In this investigation was determinate the incidence of this disease in this plant by means of surreys realized in several commercial farms located at the Pastaza province in a period between October 2017 and January 2018. The results showed a media value of 17 % of the wilt disease, observing that the variety “naranjilla común” was the most susceptible.
