Abstract

HERNANDEZ, Milena. To Study and Think off Che: Everyone's Commitment. UH [online]. 2014, n.278, pp. 95-107. ISSN 0253-9276.

The present article goes deep into the study of Ernesto Che Guevara's life and deeds, facing the need to update his legacy for present and future generations. The analysis is based on the activities performed by Centro de Estudios Che Guevara with children in a local context, where artistic creation workshops are a pretext to get boys and girls closer to such an important personality's actions and thought. Consequently, the features that characterize school age and its links with moral qualities formation process in childhood are examined. Also, Ernesto Guevara's cultural formation's potentiality towards the consolidation of national identity is studied, and the importance of creating educational spaces for children to identify an ideal, a model, and an example to follow, is explained.

Keywords : education; culture; moral qualities; school workshops.
