Abstract

AVILA VARGAS, Niuva  and  GIANNOTTI VAZQUEZ, Sandra. Family Accompaniment in Educational Processes during Childhood: An Approach through Case Studies. UH [online]. 2021, n.291  Epub Jan 01, 2021. ISSN 0253-9276.

The family constitutes one of the main educational supports of the children even after they enter the schools, where the institution especially executes the educational function. However, family work is not always carried out in an adequate manner since it responds to the characteristics of the members, their educational level, territory of residence, distribution of work among the genders, availability of free time, etc. This reconfigures the quantity and quality of educational care, which often affects school successes, but also failures such as student repetition. All this points to the need to attend to the conditions in which Cuban families exercise their educational role. The main objective of this work is the analysis of the educational role of the family from the revision of results of case studies in families from different municipalities of the capital and with children in pre-school and primary age.

Keywords : education; family; school failure.
