Abstract

The article responds to the need to contribute to the enrichment of the category of political participation from the perspective of Political Science, as well as to the theoretical and methodological foundations. The political participation is concretized in an economic and political actor very little studied from this discipline, the small and medium private landowner. The definition of small and medium private owners and that of political participation of small and medium private owners are worked, from which political foundations are identified, contributed both by the theory and from the revolutionary practice, of the participation of small and medium private owners in the fulfillment of their social function during the process of transition to socialism in Cuba.
