Foreign language teachers must develop linguistic skills in the target language in their students. Although there are research works that address the subject of writing in the foreign language, in the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Havana the teachers' collective works to make consistent proposals to improve the teaching of writing in German. With this article, the authors propose an approach to the subject, hoping that it can later be translated into the conception of a didactic material for the improvement of students' writing.
