Abstract

MORALES REQUENES, Casta Amanda  and  RUEDA ARAYA, Daniel. Theoretical Approach to Quality of Teaching at Universities. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2019, vol.38, n.2  Epub Aug 01, 2019. ISSN 0257-4314.

Well-known authors state that universities have driven history, and that their significance lies in instructing society, i.e. giving knowledge to people according to the time when they live. This task given to universities by society is especially complex nowadays, because higher education needs to be not only more relevant, but also of excellent quality. Relevance and quality need to go hand in hand. Quality is a matter of the greatest importance, and it is likely to be so in the future. In this paper, factors affecting quality of teaching at universities are examined from a systemic perspective - a set of systems, subsystems, and nodes which take part in teaching-learning process.

Keywords : university management; systems theory; improved teaching.
