Abstract

This work is aimed at suggesting action to be taken to use some emerging technologies which may enhance the efficiency of the Cuban education system, and its appeal for teachers and students, so they may be more motivated. The Horizon Project reports were used as guidelines in studying trends in the usage of technology in education. It was examine how a developing and not technologically advanced country may benefit from today’s major innovations. It is claimed that teaching and learning environments may be significantly improved by using emerging technologies.
