Abstract

REYES ALAMILLA, Olga Ivett  and  HERNANDEZ ROMERO, Gladys. Identifying and Including Core Human Values in University Training. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2019, vol.38, n.2  Epub Aug 01, 2019. ISSN 0257-4314.

This research is aimed at determining how often university students bring out core human values, which is of great importance to professional competence as well. An intentional sampling method was used in order to select students of the College of Economics and Administration at the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco for a sample of 154. The results showed that students considered family to be the basis on which core human values were built, but religion, friends, and performance-based training affected them during one’s lifetime. Respect and honesty were top values to them. The importance of including such values in professional training was highlighted.

Keywords : professional competence; education; ethic; students; core human values.
