Abstract

GONZALEZ DOMINGUEZ, Nancy Yolanda  and  CARNERO SANCHEZ, Maikel. A Didactic Model for Teaching Orthography at Universities. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2019, vol.38, n.2  Epub Aug 01, 2019. ISSN 0257-4314.

In this paper, a model for teaching and learning orthography at universities is presented. Major ways of solving spelling problems found were as follows: comprehensive diagnosis made by teachers; planning, guidance, control, and assessment; all persons involved working together; a prominent role played by students; combining different courses and didactic games. This model is being used in undergraduates and postgraduates courses at the University of Pedagogical Sciences «Hector Alfredo Pineda Zaldivar», located in Havana, and the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports from the academic year 2013-2014 until the present day. The results show that the model allows spelling in higher education institutions to be improved.
