Abstract

JIMENEZ MARATA, Anette. The Scriptural Route of Science. Criteria and Experiences in Postgraduate Studies. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2021, vol.40, n.1  Epub Apr 01, 2021. ISSN 0257-4314.

The purpose of the text was to analyze the teaching of scientific writing in a group of postgraduate students from the University of Havana and to examine their main assessments on this subject, which is essential for their efficient professional performance. The sample was integrated by 25 graduated students from diverse disciplines, who demonstrated to be unaware of the fundamental characteristics of scientific discursive genres and to recognize only the communicative function of writing, over its epistemic dimension. The vast majority of students associated writing with research methodology and qualified the teaching of the subject in the levels preceding the university as reproductive and unmotivating.
