Evaluation is a process that is a part of the country’s education system. This applies in educational institutions to understand the strengths and weaknesses that educational actors present in order to improve the quality of education. The evaluation of the quality of the professional performance of teachers of Portoviejo Educational Unit of Informatics is the subject of this research. A sample of 30 teachers was taken from the basic education and high school section and the survey technique was used for data collection. It was concluded that this educational centre has acceptable managerial performance and pedagogical practices with small lacks in aspects such as the use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom, community-related activities and methodology for working with students with special and individual needs.
