Abstract

This study aimed to describe the perception of the level of social welfare of primary recyclers in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, according to socio-demographic variables. The research had a quantitative, descriptive, cross-cutting and non-experimental approach. A sample of 200 primary recyclers was worked on. In addition, the Keyes Social Welfare Scale and demographic partner card were applied. Among the main findings were found to have a moderate average of social well-being. A greater one in social contribution and integration and minor in social acceptance. In conclusion, they moderately value their conditions and social functioning and have less self-confidence than in others.
