Abstract

This article presents aspects related to professional master's degrees in Brazil and highlights the relevance of the subject based on a study fulfilled on the characteristics and expectations of the student’s profile of the Professional Master in Educational and Social Intervention (MPIES) at the State University of Bahia (UNEB), Campus XI, Serrinha. It aims to problematize aspects inherent to the impressions and context constructed in and about MPIES, taking as reference the personal, academic and professional profile of such newcomers. It has methodological inspiration in the qualitative approach and uses the analysis of official documents, narratives and online questionnaire. The study make it possible to endorse works with the fulcrum in applied research, as well as its consequences, considering the professional insertions required by professional and students. Research of an interventional nature requires participation criteria, among which the development of investigations under an interdisciplinary nature, which can enrich future interventions in socio-educational contexts.
