Abstract

BARBOSA, Diogo Jacintho; TOSOLI GOMES, Antonio Marcos; GOMES PEREIRA, Marcia  and  DA SILVA GONCALVES, Livia Maria. Reflections on distance education in undergraduate nursing courses in times of pandemic: use, difficulties and possibilities. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2021, vol.40, suppl.1  Epub Nov 01, 2021. ISSN 0257-4314.

This study focuses on the implications of the pandemic in the higher nursing education system. To carry out with it, a survey was made in the Scielo and PubMed data bases regarding the articles published in 2020 that involved this subject. Thus, we can observe that barriers such as inequality and the lack of preparation of teachers and students were indicated as the main difficulties for the development of distance education. The influence of this new modality on the mental health of students and teachers was also highlighted. This reflection was concluded by a calling of attention about the need to continue the research on the subject, since technology will become more and more an important part of our lives.
