The current situation, caused by a pandemic that has impacted all spheres of human activity, demands the development of research that certifies not only the measures adopted to mitigate its effects as far as possible, but also to determine the influence on all strata of social institutions. This research aimed at the effects that the conditions of COVID 19 has in the students. The exploratory study was developed through a non-experimental cross-sectional design by applying a survey. A probability sampling was used, with a sample made up of 383 students. The main findings addressed the commitment of the students to continue with their studies and adapt to online classes and the desire of the teachers of meeting their schedules and the program. The exploration allowed not only to find regularities from the study in different university careers but also the need to improve the strategies implemented according to the conditions and needs of students who do not consider virtual education more effective than the face-to-face education.
