Abstract

TRAVIESO VALDES, Dayana  and  CORTIZAS ENRIQUEZ, Yinet. Considerations about the evaluation of learning in the university space. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2021, vol.40, suppl.1  Epub Nov 01, 2021. ISSN 0257-4314.

The fundamental objective of this article is to present some considerations on the evaluation of learning in relation to the new demands that the educational system poses to the university professor. Currently, the teaching-learning process demands a greater role of the student and a teacher as a guide of the learning process. This affects the evaluation of such process, since it is necessary to promote the psychic activism of the student. To the same extent that the student's interests are closer to the training objectives, a different, more personalized assessment of learning is required. An understanding of the different functions of evaluation fosters the understanding that not all evaluation implies a grade, evaluations are not essentially punitive, they are not restricted to the classroom space, nor is the student learning process, and not only the teacher has the possibility and responsibility of evaluating such learning. Likewise, the subjective nature of the evaluation is rescued, denying its neutrality.

Keywords : student; evaluation of learning; teaching-learning process; teacher.
