The pandemic that we have lived through during the last year has made us question our permanence and care of the earth as a species. 2020 was considered a year of «break» in the social, economic, health and existential aspects for many nations on the planet but, mainly, for the poorest that were faced with sanitary measures never before decreed by the health authorities. In this article we intend to reflect on the errors, excesses and lack of control of some world leaders that caused the coronavirus pandemic to become generalized chaos and the health crisis, beyond its public health context, to become a crisis unprecedented in the last 100 years of human history. It seeks to rescue a more encouraging vision towards life and an ecological approach towards the planet, with the aim of achieving a greater humanization in which the ethical values of solidarity and respect prevail.
