This article is a first intent of theoretical and methodological foundation of the education of the scientific talent of university students is presented (objective). A critical analysis of the two tendencies was carried out: education of talents and education of the scientific talent of university students. In the first one an exhaustive valuation of the problems is made that face its fundamental categories at the present time: identification and attention to the students with talent. While in the second, the three stages are presented for the education of the scientific talent of university students: first stage basic talent, second stage talent in formation and development and third stage talent in development, which have a dynamic development starting from conditions personological like the autopostulation of the students.
