Abstract

SIERRA, Víctor  and  VELAZQUEZ, René. Following-up graduates: a link between higher education institutions and society. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2022, vol.41, n.1  Epub Mar 01, 2022. ISSN 0257-4314.

Graduate follow-up studies have contributed significantly to underpin the connection between higher education institutions and the labor market, the latter representing the interests of society. These studies provide relevant information in this regard. The objective of this work is to know how the graduate follow-up constitutes that link between universities and society. From an exhaustive review of the available bibliography, it is possible to understand more clearly the role that higher education institutions play in the training of graduates and what are the requirements that society needs to satisfy, mainly through the demands of the labor market, as well as the interaction among the actors of a graduate monitoring system.

Keywords : labor insertion; higher education institutions; follow-up to graduates.
