A group of lines and varieties were evaluated at infection beds from Caribe Farm in Los Palacios Rice Enterprise, with the purpose of selecting those blast resistant ones to be used as parents in rice breeding program. Results showed that genotypes IR759-54-2-2, Tetep, 2077 and Moroberekan, in the same order, obtained the smallest mean values in front of blast infection, as well as the closest distance to the ideal variety, so that they are classified as possible parents providing disease-resistant genes
