Abstract

In order to evaluate biofertilization effect with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on tomato crop (Solanum lycopersicum L. cultivar Amalia) against abiotic stress, this research was developed on local farm production for two consecutive years (2010 and 2011). Tomato crop was established in non-optimal season (April-July) for growth and development. Glomus cubense was used which were obtained solid and liquid inoculants. Inoculation was performed on seedling stage at 2 grams.plant-1 (solid inoculum) and 2 mL.plant-1 (liquid inoculum), averaging 40 spores.plant-1 in both cases. Plant height (cm), flower number, fruit number and yield (t.ha-1) were studied as response variables. Factible crop yield was obtained depending season, which allows the AMF use in solid and liquid formulation, benefiting farmers to planting out season.
