Experimental work was carried out in CCSf-«Menelao Mora» with a Petroferric Nodular Gley Hidromorfic soil, during the period 2006-2009 with de purpose to know the agricultural yield of rice ratoon crop for the medium cycle rice variety (Prosequisia). Results showed lower ratoon height cutting gave higher yields compared with the main crop (first crop). Similar results was achieved for the foliar area index (IAF) and the number of fertile stems. The sprout cycle was reduced between 60 and 65 days in relation with the main crop. It was no necessary herbicides applications and a less irrigation water was used.
