The frequency of 29 HLA antigens of loci A and B was determined in 20 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma diagnosed at the Opthalmology Service of the «Enrique Cabrera» General Teaching Hospital. 276 sound individuals were used as controls. HLA B35 antigen showed a positive connection with a relative risk (RR)of 5,3. It was obtained a statistically significant frequency with a corrected p (cp) <0,002 for HLA B35 on comparing it with unrelated normal controls. No association was observed in the rest of the studied HLA antigens
