An observational descriptive study was undertaken to know the behavior of some artherogenic risk factors, to explore the presence of oral affections, and to identify possible relations of it to the genesis of the atherosclerotic process in the population under study composed of 100 individuals over 60 from the health area of "Héroes del Moncada" Polyclinic, in Plaza de la Revolución municipality. The study suggested that the presence of periodontal infections and dental loss were some risk factors linked with vascular accidents.
