Abstract

HERRERA SANCHEZ, Rita  and  CASSALS VILLA, Maura. Some factors influencing on the quality of the nursing working life. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2005, vol.21, n.1, pp. 1-1. ISSN 1561-2961.

The quality of working life is the degree in which the members of a group are able to meet the personal needs through their experiences in the organizational context. A descriptive study of some factors influencing on the quality of life in the nursing working area was conducted. Different instruments were used to measure the working stress and its vulnerability, satisfaction and self-steem. The sample was composed of 20 patients selected at random at "Pedro Kouri" Institute of Tropical Medicine. It was found a good quality of working life based on low indexes of working stress and high self-steem and satisfaction, contrary to the results of similar researches carried out in the world.

Keywords : Working stress; quality of working; life.
