Abstract

MILAN DOBSON, Niurka. Foundations of the routes of care in the pediatric patient. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2012, vol.28, n.2, pp. 181-188. ISSN 0864-0319.

Objectives: To present the foundations of the routes of care in the attention to the pediatric patient, and to describe those that can be carried out in a hospital unit reflecting all the knowledge of professionals based on the experience through evidences. Methods: A descriptive study of cross section was made. From this analysis it was confirmed the validity that has the independent care in the profession and its contribution to improve human health with a holistic approach. Results: There was as theoretical reference the model of adaption of Callista Roy and the theory of the nursing process of Ida Jean Orlando. Conclusions: In pediatric should be ensured the specific physical cares required by the child at each time, identifying the needs, to set the trip of those cares, providing to the child confidence, caress and information, including caregivers, which favors the success of proceedings.
