Abstract
BERDASQUERA CORCHO, Denis. Conocimientos de los médicos de familia sobre grupos de riesgo de enfermedades de transmisión sexual. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 2000, vol.16, n.6, pp. 564-567. ISSN 1561-3038.
An observational descriptive study was conducted in 20 family physician's offices of the Community Teaching Polyclinic, in the municipality of Guanajay, during the second fortnight of May, 1998. Rapid health surveillance techniques such as the semistructured interview, the participative observation and the documentary review were applied. It was concluded that the family physicians have theoretical knowledge about the groups at risk for sexually transmitted diseases, but that their field work is deficient and that they have little knowledge of the aspects related to surveillance, prevention and promotion within the program for controlling these diseases
