Abstract
DIESTE SANCHEZ, Waldo; SUAREZ MARTINEZ, René and CARRILLO SALOMON, Ricardo. Morbilidad con incapacidad laboral temporal en una refinería de petróleo, según departamentos. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 2002, vol.18, n.1, pp. 6-13. ISSN 1561-3038.
To determine the level of work morbidity with temporary disability by departments or workplaces, we use information from work records and medical certificates of 1322 permanent workers of an oil refinery, who have been working in the same occupation and department or workplace for 8 years or more. Sex had an influence on the studied morbidity, and similarly, the differences were statistically significant in the group of workers with frequent diseases when we applied ratio difference tests. Those departments that contributed the most to morbidity and the most frequent causes of disability were identified. This type of study provides the family physician who takes care of a working population with useful information.
