The variables taken were: age, sex, pathological family history and personal history, both general and ocular, and lastly psychosocial effects on these patients. Tables and graphs helped to analyze these data. As a result of our research work, we found a prevalence rate of low vision equals to 230 x 100, 000 pop whereas blind rate is 40 x 100 000 pop, affecting mainly patients over 60 years. The fundamental causes of these diseases were glaucoma, 16%; degenerative myopia, 14.8% and other retinal diseases. All these patients presented with restrictions from the psychosocial viewpoints.
