This review paper was aimed at putting at the disposal of the primary health care physician the basic and elementary aspects to give an adequate therapeutics to the patients affected with bleeding of the nasal fossae and adjacent cavities (epistaxis). It is a common affection, but what is dramatic is that it generates anxiety and fear in the persons and in those accompanying them, which, on occasions, invade the physician and does not allow to attain a diagnostic and therapeutical dynamics. That’s why, we put this material in your hands with the hope that it will be useful.
